The MOC ARCANA whitepaper v1.0 is published. It explains how the game is built: the card types, the factions, the rarities and the digital ownership behind every card. Here are the key points.
A card game on the Cronos blockchain
MOC ARCANA is a strategy card game built on Cronos, inspired by the meme tokens of the ecosystem. Every card is an ERC-1155 NFT: players own their collection, can trade it freely and use it in duels. Battles revolve around the Community Points system: a race to build the largest community while breaking your opponent's.
Card types
- Tokens: the backbone of every deck. Units with ATK and DEF, 7 levels and unique effects.
- Events: one-time cards that turn a duel around.
- Personas (later): key figures of the Cronos ecosystem whose abilities boost Tokens and Events.
- Entities (later): institutions and platforms with lasting effects on the battlefield.
Seven factions
Every Token belongs to one of seven factions, each with its own play style. Many effects reward decks built around a single faction.
- Umbra: dark entities and mysticism. Stealth, disruption and supernatural effects.
- Natura: animals, plants and natural forces. Resilience, unity and raw strength.
- Cortexa: artificial intelligence and high technology. Calculated strategies.
- Dominio: thieves, mobsters and masterminds. Trickery, stealing resources, forcing discards.
- Exuvia: transformation and rebirth. Tokens that evolve.
- Ronax: battle-hardened warrior clans. Heavy-hitting attacks.
- Fantasma: ghosts, illusions and the afterlife. Comebacks from the Dead Wallet.
Five rarities
Cards range from Common to Rare, Epic, Legendary and the elusive Mythic. The rarer the card, the stronger its effect tends to be, and the fewer copies will ever exist.
A limited 1st Edition
The 1st Edition is limited forever. Each card has a maximum number of copies set when the collection is created on the blockchain. Once a card is sold out, it never drops again: the first collectors keep something that cannot be reprinted.
Packs and fair draws
Cards are opened from packs. The draw happens on the blockchain, from a block mined after the purchase, so nobody can choose or predict the cards inside, not even the MOC ARCANA team. A small royalty on every resale on the marketplaces supports the development of the game.
